This is one a captive Dog-faced Fruit Bat (Pteropodidae: Cynopterus brachyotis) getting ready to fly in the wind tunnel after being marked up with paint. From each flight we capture less than one second with the cameras, but it takes several months of computer work to accurately reconstruct the motions of the bat over the course of that small period of time.
